At the Quilt festival in Paducah USA I bought a selection of very bright Jan Mullen fabric brushed cotton. The wanted a simple design that really showed off the fabrics and this did.
The blocks are 6 inch finished, making the centre 2 inch square, with a 2 inch border. I experimented with the quilting and although not totally happy with the result it did teach me a lot about freestyle quilting.
