In the Pink

Having two boys I always jump at the chance at making a baby girl quilt. This one was made in December 2012 for my neighbours daughter. It is a twist on the 'I spy' theme with lots of pink.

The blocks are 6 ½ x 4 ½ and have a 1 ½ x 6 ½ border top and bottom, making a 6 ½ block.

By alternating the direction of the blocks the effective pattern is created. I choose to make the borders from my stash of pink fabrics, this worked really well and I am pleased with the end result.

The quilt was quilted with simple loose swirly free motion quilting.
