First Art Quilt

Wow, some workshops really are exciting and fire my enthusiasm, inspiration and creative juices. The one with Pat Deacon was such a workshop. She taught us how to construct a small piece of art from irregular shapes.

The piece was first hand drawn onto freezer paper and then marked up. This was then cut out and ironed onto fabric. The techniques for sewing the pieces together although not new to me was used in a slightly different way.

This is one of the few workshops that I will use the technique to create many more inspired pieces.
