Y2K Swap

This quilt was the first fabric swap that I did. I wanted to make a quilt to mark the turn of the century. I joined a group that swapped 25 x 2 1/2 squares plus one signature square - with your name, where you were from and the year. In addition you sent a short biography of yourself.

At this time we had only just got our first PC and it made full use of emails as that is how you would get the address of other quilters. Waiting for the postman was exciting.

The aim was to have 2000 squares and I choose to assemble mine in diagonal coloured lines.
